Holiday Schedule

Thanksgiving Day there will be No Interruption in garbage, recycling and greenwaste collection service on Thanksgiving Day. The Transfer Station, Recycling Center and main offi ce will be closed Thursday, November 22.

Christmas Day falls on a Tuesday this year, therefore, garbage, recycling and greenwaste collection service will be delayed by 1 day from Tuesday to Friday, in other words, Tuesday pickups will be on Wednesday etc. until Friday pickups on Saturday. The Transfer Station, Recycling Center and office will be closed on Tuesday, December 25th.

New Years Day also falls on a Tuesday this year, therefore, garbage, recycling and greenwaste collection service will be delayed by 1 day from Tuesday to Friday, in other words, Tuesday pickups will be on Wednesday etc. until Friday pickups on Saturday. The Transfer Station, Recycling Center and office will be closed on Tuesday, January 1st.

Christmas Tree Pickup
Boy Scout Tree Recycling Day Boy Scout Troop 941 in Pleasanton will hold its annual Christmas Tree Pickup and Recycling Day on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
Starting at 8am, an enthusiastic group of about 40 scouts, 10 box trucks and many parent volunteers will collect over 1000 trees, which will be converted into over 15 tons of mulch! For more information or to place a reservation online, please visit Boy Scout Troop 941 at www.Troop941.Org. Funds raised by the project are used by the Scouts to pay for new equipment, camp fees and other outdoor activities.

Christmas Tree Pickup Pleasanton Garbage Service will pickup Christmas trees that are placed at the curb on Saturday, January 12th. Trees must be placed curb side the night before pickup and cut in four-foot sections. Please remove stands, tinsel, ornaments and lights. Pleasanton Garbage Service is not responsible for any decorations that are left on the tree. Or, you may place your Christmas tree cut in two foot sections inside your greenwaste container and it will be picked up on your regular pickup day. Pleasanton Residents may also bring Christmas trees to the Transfer Station at 3110 Busch Rd. free of charge until January 31, 2019.
