Holiday Schedule

Independence Day  there will be No Interruption in garbage, recycling and greenwaste collection service on Independence Day. The Transfer Station, Recycling Center and main office will be closed Thursday, July 4.

Labor Day  there will be No Interruption in garbage, recycling and greenwaste collection service on Labor Day. The Transfer Station, Recycling Center and main office will be closed Monday, September 2.

Thanksgiving Day  there will be No Interruption in garbage, recycling and greenwaste collection service on Thanksgiving Day. The Transfer Station, Recycling Center and main office will be closed Thursday, November 28.

Christmas Day  falls on a Wednesday this year, therefore, garbage, recycling and greenwaste collection service will be delayed by 1 day from Wednesday to Friday, in other words, Wednesday pickups will be on Thursday etc. until Friday pickups on Saturday. The Transfer Station, Recycling Center and office will be closed on Wednesday, December 25th.

New Years Day  also falls on a Wednesday this year, therefore, garbage, recycling and greenwaste collection service will be delayed by 1 day from Wednesday to Friday, in other words, Wednesday pickups will be on Thursday etc. until Friday pickups on Saturday. The Transfer Station, Recycling Center and office will be closed on Wednesday, January 1st.

Christmas Tree PickupBoy Scout Tree Recycling Day  Boy Scout Troop 941 in Pleasanton will hold its annual Christmas Tree Pickup and Recycling Day on Saturday, January 4, 2020. Starting at 8am, an enthusiastic group of about 40 scouts, 10 box trucks and many parent volunteers will collect over 1000 trees, which will be converted into over 15 tons of mulch! Funds raised by the project are used by the Scouts to pay for new equipment, camp fees and other outdoor activities.

Christmas Tree Pickup  ** New Guidelines for 2020 ***  Pleasanton Garbage Service will now be picking up clean, green Christmas trees for recycling on your regular collection day beginning on Monday, January 6 and ending on Friday, January 17.

Tree must be cut into four foot lengths and placed at the curb the night before pickup. Collection will begin the week of Monday January 6, 2020 and end on Friday, January 17th on your regular collection day.

Please remove stands, tinsel, ornaments and lights. Pleasanton Garbage Service is not responsible for any decorations that are left on the tree.

Flocked trees or trees with tinsel cannot be recycled. Please call 925-846-2042 to arrange for disposal of your fl ocked or tinseled tree. An additional fee will apply unless you use one
of the three Bulky Item Collections available.

You may place your green Christmas tree cut into two foot sections inside your greenwaste container and it will be picked up on your regular service day.

Pleasanton residents may also bring Christmas trees to the Transfer Station at 3110 Busch Rd. free of charge until January 31, 2020. Please give our office a call at (925) 846-2042.
